What is an IPaddress?
When you connect to the Internet, either via your Internet Service Provider
(ISP), or your office LAN connection, your PC gets the IP address. This
address identifies your computer from the other computers in the
Internet. Each computer which is connected to Internet, has a unique
identifying number. It is called IP address. A typical IP address looks
like this: 125.170.18.254
The format of IP address is a 32-bit numeric address, written as four
numbers separated by dots. Each number can be 0 to 255
The IP address can be static or dynamic. The static IP address never
changes, and the dynamic IP address means that each time you login
/connect your ISP you are assigned a new address for the
session.
To find out whether your computer uses static or dynamic IP address you
should contact your ISP or network administrator.

I get wrong IP address!
Why?
You get an IP address of the Computer that request the page of
IP-Finder.com. Typically it is your local PC's own IP address, but in
case you use a router or proxy server for the connection you will get
incorrect IP ddress.
Perhaps, you use Proxy connection or the Firewall software which is
installed on your local PC blocks your current IP address and switches
it to another one. In case you use router to connect to the Internet,
you will see an IP address of your router or proxy server, instead of
your PC IP address. It can be the reason why you get wrong IP address.
You can disable firewall and Proxy server connection settings to
connect your local PC directly to your ISP and try to refresh the page
IP-finder.com by pressing CTRL+F5. I believe, it will help you to get
right (correct) IP address.
